Mountain Home Communities
Simplify the Process
Asheville, North CarolinaFrederick Law Olmsted, famed American landscape architect and designer of George W. Vanderbilt’s Biltmore Estate, envisioned communities created around three elements – preserved natural surroundings, vibrant parks and picturesque streets. The Ramble Biltmore Forest, conceived by Vanderbilt’s descendants, masterfully incorporates all three, providing seamless green corridors and connectivity. Like Olmsted’s Central Park, The Ramble offers a secluded forested escape immediately surrounded by the urban bustle of eclectic Asheville, North Carolina, and modern Biltmore Park Town Square.
Within its gates, The Ramble’s stunning new Living Well Center joins a host of existing amenities including three parks and several miles of trails across its more than 900 acres, setting new standards in Asheville real estate. Access to Western North Carolina’s Blue Ridge Parkway is within sight of the main entrance while downtown Asheville’s thriving arts, music and culinary venues are just minutes away.
Live close. Live well.
The threads that tie the fabric of the premier Asheville gated community together go beyond its existing amenities. The residents are what give The Ramble personality, creating a colorful tapestry that grows with each new neighbor.
Chance encounters between neighbors on the trails, sidewalks and parks are the norm, not the exception. Gathering spaces abound in The Ramble’s parks and indoor venues including The Living Well Center, Buckspring Cabin and the award-winning Preview Center.
The Ramble’s Summer Concert Series is especially popular with residents. Recent musical performances included The Drifters, Kat Williams, and The Sons of Ralph. There are many opportunities to share common interests with neighbors; the Garden Club is especially active with members sharing horticultural tips. Dinner parties in The Ramble can be found throughout the year.
THE LIVING WELL CENTER
Relax in its heated saline pool. Enjoy a daily workout in the well-equipped exercise spaces. Gather with family and neighbors by the fireplace in the Great Room.
Set in one of the most tranquil spots in the forest, The Ramble’s architecturally striking Living Well Center opened its doors to residents in early 2009 and soon after received an Honor Citation from the American Institute of Architects. The first of its kind in Asheville, it is an innovative take on George W. Vanderbilt’s revolutionary vision for sustainability. Designed as the community’s “indoor living room” by renowned New York architectural firm Ike Kligerman Barkley, the center is a magnet for residents seeking a healthful outlet and quiet retreat.
Directed by experienced Residential Community Associate Corey Black, The Living Well Center offers regularly scheduled wellness classes and social events.
